The Descentradxs network is a space of discussion and reflection on dance which gathers together researchers and/or artists from all over the world, particularly from Latin America, in order to look at the decentering of the artistic and academic practices in dance, from an aesthetic, historical and theorical point of view. Considered a continual critical process, examined from many different angles – kinaesthetic, choreographic, cultural, political, economic, social, related to race, class and gender… –, the decentering we are searching for leans on decolonial and postcolonial perspectives.
